I'm so happy to see a site dedicated to Mike Lange and getting him back on TV. I can't believe that after all these days someone would even venture out to remove a staple like Mike, this Steve Tello obviously wasn't a Pens fan or this would of never happened in the first place.

I grew up with Mike, all of my favorite hockey childhood memories are based around just hearing his voice of excitement when Lemiuex or Jagr or Coffey or anyone from those great years scored, it was simply incredible how Lange PUT YOU ON THE ICE by just words alone, when a man can even on the radio describe a hockey game and make you feel the experience, that right there is greatness. And Mike did just that.

And it kills me, KILLS me that we have this amazing team now and goal after goal after goal scored, and zero excitement in the booth. Now i'm not down on Bob, but he's just there. And Paul is worthless; I guess I could see if this Tello guy brought in someone exciting, and someone with some actual freaking motivation, but Paul couldn't even announce a game of ping pong properly. He does NOT deserve to be there over Mike Lange!

This Steve Tello says they need fresh eyes...what more do they expect someone to do than what Mike did? Mike called the game play by play and you could tell really loved this team and sport, what more does someone want?

What really irks me is that it's a situation of the powers that be, someone in a position to just ignore fans and people and truely think his way is the best. That's what bugs me. I hope something can change; I hope next year we see Mike back on TV; but if not, then i'll do what i've been doing and tune out Steve Tello's [awful] choice of commentary and override it with Mike Lange on The X.
