ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! (02/29/08)

Fox Sports Pittsburgh is currently (as they freely admit) going through a “transitional period”; as Penguins fans, we can only hope they transition back to having some common sense.

Around 3 years ago, Steve Tello came to Fox Sports Pittsburgh and eventually stripped long-time Pittsburgh hockey fans of something they love equally as much as the game itself – Mike Lange calling the games on television.  Instead, he opted for the mundane Paul Steigerwald, who is about as entertaining as a telephone pole.  Steve Tello has now moved on to presumably ruin Fox Sports Houston, while leaving his destructive stamp on Pittsburgh.

The reasoning for Mr. Lange’s dismissal is debatable; Tello claims they needed a “fresh set of eyes”, but anyone listening to the games on FSN Pittburgh knows that those eyes aren't watching the same game we are.

This site was created to encourage Penguins fans to contact Fox Sports Pittsburgh and voice their displeasure in a professional and tactful manner.  Mike Lange is synonymous with Pittsburgh Penguins hockey and he deserves to be back on television, where High Definition has taken the viewing experience to a new level.  We have the best hockey player in the world, and we should compliment that with the best hockey broadcaster in the world!
